What makes a post go viral?
This might surprise you.
You don’t have to be a pro video editor to get viral videos.
Sure, you’ve seen those accounts with flashy transitions and effects.
And yes, they look great.
But here’s the thing:
You don’t need all that.
But I’m also not saying to create a subpar post.
You also need to weigh things out.
Whether your content is already good enough when put against your major competition.
But, most of the time, it's better to work with what you’ve got.
Focus on what you can do well, not what everyone else is doing.
If you’re not a professional editor,
don't spend hours trying to create videos with effects you can't quite master.
Why not double down on what you do best?
Maybe you’re great at storytelling, or your strength lies in your message.
There’s value in that.
If you’ve been pressured to create viral-worthy, highly edited videos for your account,
Simple ones often resonate more deeply with the public.
We all have our unique skills, and your content should reflect that.
People often think standing out is about having the flashiest videos.
But think about it—your followers are likely following several other pages in your niche.
Do they need another page with the same fancy edits and effects?
Or would they prefer content that feels genuine, easy to connect with, and relatable?
When it comes down to it, it's not about standing out in a flashy way.
It's about creating content that hits home for your audience.
So, what makes a video great?
It could be the message you deliver,
the story you tell, or even the audio that connects with people.
It’s not always the visuals.
Sometimes, the simplest videos—with a clear message—
can generate the most engagement.
And trust me, I've seen it happen over and over.
It’s those little, subtle details that make a big difference.
For a long time, I thought high-quality video editing was everything.
But the more I’ve grown numerous accounts over the past 5 years
the more I’ve realized it’s not about creating perfect videos.
It’s about the value the audience finds in your content.
In today's world, with all the AI tools and editing software,
it’s tempting to think you need to push for maximum production quality.
But often, it's the raw, simple content that performs well.
There's always a cycle—when things get overly polished, people crave authenticity.
So, focus on what you can offer that’s real and relatable.
Because at the end of the day, it’s about the connection with your audience.
